How to deposit and start
trading on Binance
Once your account is verified, funding it and placing a first trade is straightforward. This guide covers the common deposit routes, how to choose the right transfer network, KYC limits, and a simple first-trade walkthrough.
Ways to fund your account
Three common routes, each with different costs and speed. Pick the one that fits your situation.
| Method | Cost | Speed | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crypto transfer | Network fee only | 1–30 min | Cheapest; if you already hold crypto elsewhere |
| Debit / credit card | About 1.8–3% | Instant | Fastest; buying with fiat directly |
| P2P trading | ~0% + small price spread | 5–30 min | Local payment methods; often the cheapest fiat route |

Choosing a network when transferring USDT
Even for the same coin, USDT exists on several transfer networks. If the sender's and receiver's networks differ, the funds can be lost — always confirm they match.
| Network | Transfer fee | Speed | Recommended for |
|---|---|---|---|
| BEP20 (BNB Smart Chain) | About 0.3–0.8 USDT | 1–3 min | Small/frequent transfers, Binance↔Binance |
| TRC20 (TRON) | About 1 USDT | 1–3 min | General transfers and external wallets |
| ERC20 (Ethereum) | About 5–15 USDT | 2–10 min | Large amounts only |
| Polygon / Arbitrum / Optimism | Under 0.5 USDT | 1–2 min | DeFi and L2 users |
Deposit/withdrawal limits by KYC level
Your daily and monthly limits depend on your verification level. Completing higher verification early keeps larger transfers from getting restricted.
| Level | Documents | Daily withdrawal limit | P2P | Recommended for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Unverified | Email/phone only | 0 (no withdrawals) | ❌ | Just signed up |
| Verified (basic) | Government ID + selfie | About 100,000 USDT | ✅ | Most users |
| Verified Plus (higher) | Add proof of address | About 200,000 USDT or more | ✅ (higher limit) | Large-amount / institutional users |
